Switching to the Git Version Control System

You've heard of git, you have friends that use it, you may even have
it installed but you haven't taken the plunge. Git is a Distributed
Version Control System that has been getting a lot of attention
lately. With it come promises of better work flows, better
team/project scalability and faster, sharper tools.

In this workshop we will discuss the things that make Git, and DVCS in
general, different from and more powerful than SVN and other
traditional Version Control Systems. We will then talk about how to
use Git, how to slowly migrate a team to Git, some common Git
workflows and even some advanced situations that require a little bit
of Git-fu.
